Woodo`s FD2

Well this happened yesterday....

Toda decat with oem heatshield fitted around it as it has brackets on decat to mount if you want to.

Toda decat fitted and mapped on flashpro.

Mods...
Mugen catback
Toda decat
J's racing intake
Flashpro

Was expecting slight bit more peak power but for this particular dyno which I have used before I'm quite happy overall.
As predicted it's all mid range gains and boy can you feel the difference!
Picks up well with vtec @ 4100 on full throttle.

Nice one Woodo ;) pretty much the same as mine and yes you do really notice the difference :) I have the Toda decat with a Spoon back box with some sort of dodgy intake, i'm still waiting for the J's intake and exhaust to land then it'll be another remap.
Put a pic up of your J's intake mate ;) there's not many about......Scrap that just seen it on the previous page, nice ;)
T.G.

Yea TG you may free up few more ponies with the new mods, gonna sound nice anyway with the exhaust :-D

The decat actually made my Mugen soundtrack bit louder and is perfect tone, love it even more now.

Went through few sets of wheels as keeping the stock white rims was starting to bug me.

Mugen shifter now fitted.
Ain't got out for a drive to give a review but I honestly think it's waste of money.
I had the Mugen unit and oem unit side by side and only difference I could see was the difference in the length of shifter.

Mugen even state it's 10mm shorter throw than oem item and don't state any other differences as such.

So anyone interested in the Mugen item I may suggest just cutting 10mm of the threaded area on the oem shifter.

I would like somebody to confirm there is other differences but from looking at both side by side I couldn't see any.

Just to clear it up there seems to be more differences between the oem and MUGEN shifter, member on the Facebook group (Fd2UK) confirmed this while back as he noticed bit of differences in the workings and not just the shifter length.

Great thread. The fd2 looks superb on SSR Spec-C wheels, good choice!

Yes, I also looked at this when I bought the Mugen shifter - one of the shanks (unsure how else to describe it, the piece one of the cables clip onto) is 5mm shorter. It doesn't sound a lot but due to leverage it helps a great deal. Also, the main shaft is shorter, which granted, could be easily done to a standard item - the shank piece, not so easy.

I previously had a Hybrid Racing shifter and I prefer the Mugen :)

SSR wheels i currently have fitted, purchased SSR centre caps and machined spigot rings also,Muteki lug nuts to finish it off.

The wheels suit the car perfectly. Was it hard the find the modulo lights?
Sorry for delay.
Had to source the loom kit and garnishes seperate, seems it's just the garnishes available now so hard to source a kit.
You can buy replica kits .

Been a while since last update on here so will list few pics.....

Great thread mate, car looks awesome. How did you find the modulo to the konis? I was going to go for modulo but couldn't find any so opted for the konis. Fitting them this weekend.
I was going to go the tein flex but I don't want the car to sit lower.

With the Modulo you have 5 damping settings so bit of adjustment as such, I rate the Koni rear set up and yes I was in same boat as yourself not wanting to be too low.
I actually had Ohlins recently also and one reason I sold them was that the rear height is not adjustable, quite misleading from Ohlins tbh.

Modulo set ups do come up quite often on Yahoo Auctions Japan but price has doubled in general for used items, it's bit of a gamble buying second hand suspension as such.
